Communication in Professional Life is a 2-credit Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) under Delhi University's UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 as a 0 lecture, 0 tutorial, 2 practical (p.1 credit table). As per the official syllabus on academicaffairs.du.ac.in, the course is organised as four blocks — Unit 1 Theory of Business Communication (8 hours), Unit 2 Listening Skills (14 hours), Unit 3 Speaking Skills including presentation, group discussion, TED/business talks, persuasion, negotiation and PR functions (18 hours), and Unit 4 Writing Skills including CV/resume, documentation, reports, social media posts/blog/review and Canva poster/profile making (20 hours). Unit 4 builds job-oriented skills: CV, bio-data, application letter, advertisements/invitation, analytical/project reports, and LinkedIn profile (p.2). Evaluation is 'as per guidelines notified by the University of Delhi' (p.3). Common loss is submitting a plain paragraph for a resume or report instead of the format examiners expect — proper CV sections, business letter layout, or Canva poster — and skipping the practical viva on persuasion and meeting etiquette. For revision, map each PYQ to its unit — middle units repeat most — and confirm your college's exact paper code before the exam, as SEC codes vary by theme (as of 12 Sept 2026).
