Delhi University Notes, PYQs and Syllabus — Organised the Way DU Teaches

Sulaksh is a free, student-run library for Delhi University. Unlike scattered Telegram forwards and broken Drive links, everything here is sorted the way Delhi University actually teaches — by course, semester and paper. Open DU & College, pick your programme (Honours, Programme, or BSc), choose the semester, and you will see four clean tabs: Syllabus · Notes · PYQs · Books & Readings. No paywall, no signup to read.

What NEP/UGCF means for you: Since 2022 DU follows the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) under NEP 2020. That means every BA/BSc/BCom course now has Discipline Specific Core (DSC) papers, plus common pools — SEC (Skill Enhancement), VAC (Value Addition), AEC (Ability Enhancement) and GE (Generic Elective). A BA Programme student, for example, might do DSCs as Major/Minor plus one SEC and one VAC each semester. Papers are 4 credits; SEC/VAC/GE are smaller and highly scoring because the syllabus is compact. If your syllabus PDF says “DU SOL”, it is the same content your regular college follows — we mention this explicitly so you don’t worry.

How to use PYQs properly (not just collect them): Solving previous year papers is the single most effective revision method — many concepts repeat across years. Don’t read PYQs like a newspaper. Use the 3-Pass method: first pass, mark which syllabus unit each question came from; second pass, solve one paper timed (3 hours); third pass, make a one-page sheet per unit with one quote, diagram or formula. That single exercise compresses 200 pages into 20 revision pages. Recent PYQs (2023–2025) follow the latest UGCF pattern and matter most; older CBCS papers help only for background.

How we keep it accurate: Growth is slow on purpose. Each syllabus overview is checked against the official DU Academic Affairs PDFs before it goes live, and any temporary summary says clearly — please verify from your college handout before the exam; this box will vanish the moment the official PDF is uploaded. If a paper is missing, the folder shows a brief, human-written study plan and hides empty categories from visitors so you never see a “0 files” wall. You can also report any wrong file in one click — we review within a day.
