Common / University Courses
SEC, VAC, AEC & GECommon courses are the same for every DU programme. SEC builds practical skills, VAC covers values and life-skills, AEC handles language and environment, and GE lets you borrow a paper from another department — each is 2–4 credits and highly scoring because the syllabus is compact. Tap a tile to see its subjects, then the semester and file type.

DU & College — How This Section Works
This page is the single place for every DU paper under UGCF/NEP — Core Honours/Programme, BSc Honours, and the common pools SEC, VAC, AEC, GE. Pick Core Subjects → Honours/As Major/As Minor → Semester → Syllabus/Notes/PYQs/Books. That path mirrors how Delhi University actually teaches. For BA/BCom Programme, use the dedicated BA / B.Com Programme tile — it gathers all core + common papers for Programme in one place.
SEC, VAC, AEC, GE — what’s the difference? SEC (Skill Enhancement, 2 credits) is practical — e.g., Advanced Spreadsheets, Digital Marketing. VAC (Value Addition, 2 credits) is value-based — e.g., Yoga, Financial Literacy, Constitutional Values. AEC (Ability Enhancement, 2 credits) is language/environment — e.g., EVS Theory into Practice, Hindi writing. GE (Generic Elective, 4 credits) lets you take a paper from another department — e.g., a History student taking Economics GE. All four are compact and highly scoring because the syllabus is small — examiners expect precise, point-based answers.
Can’t find your syllabus? If your SEC/VAC/AEC/GE syllabus isn’t in its pool, open the relevant Core Subject → Semester → Syllabus. Many common papers are listed under the core subject’s UGCF PDF (e.g., “English → Sem 1 → Syllabus” often contains the GE syllabus for that semester). If it still says DU SOL, don’t worry — regular colleges follow the identical UGCF syllabus; it’s the same PDF.
How we keep it clean and accurate: Empty folders show a short, human-written study plan and then auto-hide from visitors until a real file is uploaded. Any summary you see here is checked against the official DU Academic Affairs PDFs; if a PDF isn’t yet uploaded, the note says please verify from your college for your batch — this summary will vanish the moment the official file is uploaded.
