This is the 2024 Semester Previous Year Question Paper for Financial Literacy — Delhi University DU & College under the UGCF/NEP framework. Free to view on Sulaksh.
Financial Literacy is DU's 2-credit VAC that teaches you personal finance in four short blocks: Financial Planning and Financial Products (saving, time value of money, spending discipline), Banking and Digital Payment, Investment Planning and Management (including life and medical insurance), and Personal Tax. As of 2026, DU's official syllabus still lists exactly what you use daily — debit/ATM and credit cards, net banking and UPI, digital wallets, plus security against Ponzi schemes and online frauds, and e-filing for tax — so the paper ages with your phone, not your textbook. DU counts it as 1 lecture + 1 practical hour per week and expects a practical file: banking product comparison, a dummy stock portfolio, an investment budget that balances return and tax, a dummy ITR, and even a financial-literacy survey of 25 people. Students lose the most marks on the numericals (time value of money, tax deductions) and by writing definitions of UPI without the precaution or comparison the syllabus asks for. Solving last year's numbers and keeping one page per unit with a formula and a live-bank example is how you turn a theory paper into a scoring one.
