This is the 2026 Semester Previous Year Question Paper for Gandhi and Education — Delhi University DU & College under the UGCF/NEP framework. Free to view on Sulaksh.
Gandhi and Education is a 2-credit VAC (1-0-1) under UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 as an education-philosophy paper linking Gandhi to NEP 2020 (p.32 credit table). As per the official syllabus at du.ac.in/uploads/new-web/26102022_VAC.pdf, the course has Unit I Gandhi's Philosophy and education (5 weeks) on education for character/moral development and health/hygiene/heritage/handicraft; Unit II Gandhi's Experiment in Education (5 weeks) on Indian language as medium, textbook/teacher, elementary/adult and higher education vision; and Unit III Gandhi's Educational Thought on Skill and Vocational Education (5 weeks) on rural/local skill, skill in NEP 2020 and Swavalambi Shiksha, plus 15 weeks practical (pp.32-33). The practical includes visits to Gandhi Museum/library, excursions to Sevagram/Wardha/Sabarmati and workshops with Gandhi Bhawan/Smriti on Khadi/handicrafts/organic farming and adoption of a place for Swachhta or skill (p.33). Examination is 'Subject to directions from Examination Branch'. Students lose marks by writing generic Gandhi without the Swavalambi/NEP 2020 link or by missing the Indian-language-as-medium point, which is a repeated 5-marker (as of 12 Sept 2026).
