Introduction to Linear Algebra is a 4-credit Generic Elective (GE-2(ii) or GE-3 depending on semester) offered by the Department of Mathematics under UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 as 3L+1T with eligibility Class XII pass with Mathematics (as per maths.du.ac.in GE Maths syllabus, GE Linear Algebra section, EC 08.12.2022). Examination is 90+30 as per University pattern. Students often lose marks by not showing matrix steps for eigenvalues or by skipping the proof of vector space properties, both repeated long answers (as of 12 Sept 2026).
