This is the 2023 Semester Previous Year Question Paper for National Cadet Corps-I* — Delhi University DU & College under the UGCF/NEP framework. Free to view on Sulaksh.
National Cadet Corps-I is a 2-credit VAC (1-0-1) under UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 for enrolled NCC cadets only (p.37 credit table: prerequisite Enrolled as NCC Cadet). As per the official syllabus at du.ac.in/uploads/new-web/26102022_VAC.pdf, the course has Unit I NCC General (4 weeks) aims/objectives/organization/incentives/duties/camps; Unit II National Integration (4 weeks) importance, factors, unity in diversity and threats to national security; Unit III Personality Development (5 weeks) factors, self-awareness, empathy, critical/creative thinking, decision making/problem solving; and Unit IV Social Service and Community Development (2 weeks) rural programmes/NGOs/youth contribution, plus 15 weeks practical (pp.37-38). The practical lists Drill, Field Craft & Battle Craft, Map Reading, Weapon Training and Social Service (p.38). Examination is 'Subject to directions from Examination Branch'. Students lose marks by writing general NCC history without camp types or by missing the 5-week Personality Development specifics, which are viva favourites (as of 12 Sept 2026).
