This is the 2024 Semester Previous Year Question Paper for Personal Financial Planning — Delhi University DU & College under the UGCF/NEP framework. Free to view on Sulaksh.

Personal Financial Planning is a 2-credit Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) under Delhi University's UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 as a 1 lecture, 0 tutorial, 1 practical (2 credits) (p.1 credit table). As per the official syllabus on academicaffairs.du.ac.in, the course is organised as five 3-week units — Unit 1 Financial Planning introduction and time value of money, Unit 2 Investment Planning with portfolio risk/return and mutual funds/derivatives, Unit 3 Personal Tax Planning with exemptions/deductions and 115BAC vs regular provisions, Unit 4 Insurance Planning (life/health/property/credit), and Unit 5 Retirement Benefits Planning with pension/reverse mortgage/estate planning — plus 15 weeks of practical exercises. Practical exercises: electronic fund transfers via net banking/UPI, identifying Ponzi schemes, and preparing tax planning for a hypothetical individual (p.2). Total marks 100: 25 Internal + 25 Practical + 50 End Semester (p.3). Students lose marks by theorising about investments without a worked tax plan or fund-transfer demo; the paper rewards correctly applying 115BAC comparison, insurance choice, and retirement calculations with current Indian examples. For revision, map each PYQ to its unit — middle units repeat most — and confirm your college's exact paper code before the exam, as SEC codes vary by theme (as of 12 Sept 2026).
