This is the latest Semester Syllabus for Digital Marketing — Delhi University DU & College under the UGCF/NEP framework. Free to view on Sulaksh.

Digital Marketing is a 2-credit SEC (0 lecture +0 tutorial +2 practical, Theme 17 Sl.96, UPC 2926000002) under UGCF 2022, offered to BA/BSc/BCom in Semesters 3–5 and verified for 2025-26 as a practice-oriented paper. The official syllabus divides into four blocks: Unit 1 Marketing in the Digital World (3 weeks) — digital marketing concept and how it differs from traditional, the four channel buckets (Intent-Based SEO/Search Advertising, Brand-Based Display, Community-Based Social Media, plus Affiliate/Email/Content/Mobile), Customer Value Journey 5As Framework and the Ozone O3 concept; Unit 2 Content and Email Marketing (2 weeks) — step-by-step content strategy and email types with best practices. Units 3 and 4 are the large ones: Unit 3 Social Media and Display Marketing (5 weeks) — building a social strategy for Facebook/LinkedIn/YouTube and the full display process (customer/publisher/objectives, budget/media/ad formats/ad copy); Unit 4 Search Engine Marketing (5 weeks) — how search engines and SERP positioning work, DMI's 5P Model, SEO on-page (keyword research, sitemaps, structured markup) and off-page (link building, black vs white hat), and Search Advertising/PPC (Google Ads account, campaign architecture, targeting, bid strategy). A DU-specific verified detail is the same 100-mark split printed on page 3: Internal Assessment 25, Practical Exam (Internal) 25, End Semester University Exam 50. Students find it difficult because the paper mixes vocabulary (SERP, PPC, black-hat) with a hands-on Google Ads setup; writing definitions for SEO without showing on-page vs off-page steps or a dummy campaign structure is where most lose marks as taught in 2025-26.
