IMPPYQ

Fit India is a 2-credit VAC (0-0-2) under UGCF 2022, taught in 2025-26 as a practice-only fitness paper — the only VAC with 0 lecture, 0 tutorial, 2 practical (p.29 credit table). As per the official syllabus at du.ac.in/uploads/new-web/26102022_VAC.pdf, the course is four units taught entirely in practical hours: Unit I Participation in Physical Activity (4 weeks) Fit India Protocol, physical activity/health, aerobics/walking, yoga asanas/pranayama and Cooper 12/9-min run/walk; Unit II Health-Related Fitness (4 weeks) strength/endurance/body composition/flexibility with Back Saver Sit-and-Reach, Curl-ups, Broad Jump, Rockport Mile; Unit III Nutrition and Fitness (4 weeks) Healthy Eating Plate, balanced diet, calorie content with diet/calorie chart; and Unit IV Sports Physiology and Psychology (3 weeks) DASS and Rosenberg Self-Esteem with group games/relays/meditative asanas, plus data collection from at least 10 persons on BMI/waist ratios and psychological scales (pp.29-30). No theory examination is printed; assessment is via fitness tests, charts and project data. Students often lose marks by skipping data collection tables or by not following Fit India Protocol norms exactly, which the practical file checks (as of 12 Sept 2026).

About Fit India — Value Added Course at Delhi University

Fit India is a 2-credit Value Added Course (VAC) under Delhi University's UGCF/NEP 2022. It is part of the common VAC pool offered to BA, BSc and BCom students, usually in Semester 1 or 2. Fitness. This page brings together syllabus, previous year papers and study material so you can see the taught order and exam pattern together.

What you will study (broad UGCF outline — verify from your college): The DU syllabus is organised into four units. For Fit India, the broad coverage is:

Exam pattern & marking: Typically 2 credits, evaluated via continuous assessment, assignments, presentations and a 50-75 marks semester-end theory/practical paper. Questions are short notes (5 marks) and applied long answers (10 marks) from the four units, plus field work or community engagement for many VACs. Examiners look for unit-wise structure, one relevant example per answer, and a clear conclusion.

How to prepare & what is missing: Start with Units 1-4 above, then solve the PYQs shown on this page to mark which unit each question came from. That mapping tells you which units repeat most (usually the middle units). Right now the IMP questions / detailed notes PDF for this paper may not be uploaded yet — the list below shows what is currently available. If your college shares the official IMP Q&A PDF, it will automatically appear above with an IMP Q tag.

Please verify: DU's Value Added Course syllabus and paper codes can vary slightly by college and semester. Confirm the exact unit list and credit distribution from your college's official syllabus PDF and department notice. The overview above is a broad guide from the UGCF structure — the precise, verified IMP PDF may be added later and will replace this placeholder reference.
